Tell us about your career journey so far.

My career journey began with a passion for Social Media Marketing, where I thrived as a specialist in digital marketing agencies. However, my heart yearned for something more, a chance to start a career in an international company as Avon. That's when fate intervened and I discovered an exciting opportunity as an intern in Communications at Avon. Without a moment's hesitation, I eagerly joined Avon five years ago, ready to embark on a new chapter in my professional life. Since then, I have had the privilege of taking on various roles within the company, all centered around Marketing and Communications. Each role has allowed me to expand my skill set, grow professionally, and contribute to the company's success. It has been a rewarding journey, and I am excited to see where it takes me next.

What do you do as a Communication Specialist Bulgaria?

As a Communication Specialist, I am the person who brings the field incentives to life. I handle almost all the communication that goes out to our Representatives. I take charge of planning, creating and coordinating communication across multiple channels like email, Viber, Facebook, Instagram, segmented website visualization, and others, ensuring that we reach as many Representatives as possible. I also make sure that our communication stays true to our brand's identity by creating visually appealing designs and crafting persuasive messages for field incentives and engagement programs. Additionally, I work closely with agencies and freelancers to make sure our communication plans are executed smoothly and maintain high-quality standards.

What is the most challenging part of your job?

The most exciting challenge in my job is when I get to use my creativity under tight deadlines. I have to think quickly, find innovative solutions, and work efficiently while still delivering high-quality results. Balancing time constraints and my creative abilities pushes me to think outside the box and tap into my resourcefulness. It's incredibly rewarding when I can produce exceptional work within these demanding timeframes.

And what is the most rewarding part?

The most rewarding part of my job is witnessing the impact of my work when I see that the content I've created is well-received and understood by the audience. It brings immense satisfaction to know that my efforts have resonated with people. Collaborating with talented colleagues and fostering a positive work environment is also incredibly fulfilling. Moreover, the freedom to execute my responsibilities without micromanagement allows me to fully leverage my skills and creativity. Lastly, when my ideas are valued, heard, and ultimately embraced, it validates my contributions and encourages further innovation.

What are you most proud of when it comes to your work at Avon?

When reflecting on my work at Avon, what I am most proud of is the impactful campaigns and innovative projects I have had the privilege to be a part of. From concept to execution, I have collaborated with a talented team to create innovative and successful communication strategies. This year we introduced the best business model, which gives our Representatives the opportunity to earn more, to learn more, to be more successful, while embracing their power. This was a big project, where my expertise as Communication expert was really valued. With the support of the team, I’ve created a whole new creative campaign with tangible and personalized messages, supported by beautiful design. Our work was recognized and given as an example among the other Avon markets.

Which is your TOP favorite Avon product?

Oh, this is mission impossible. There’s no way I can choose only one product. But the Top 3, I’m using almost every day are:

Can you share something that people probably don’t know about the company?

Every time you buy from Avon, you don’t just buy a lipstick, you invest in women.
Avon stands for women embracing their power. The company has been supporting women in their progression since its inception. As part of its business model, more than 20% from every sale goes towards supporting beauty entrepreneurs (earning & learning) and supporting causes that matter  for women (breast cancer and gender-based violence).

What is the most important career lesson you have learnt?

The most important career lesson I have learned is the significance of prioritizing self-care and recognizing my own value. In a high-pressure industry where stress is prevalent, I've discovered that taking care of my well-being, both physically and mentally, is crucial for sustained success. By setting boundaries, practicing self-care, and valuing my own worth, I am better equipped to navigate the challenges of the profession and deliver my best work. Remember, your well-being matters, and prioritizing yourself is an essential ingredient for long-term career satisfaction and growth.

What would you advise young people looking for a career in Communications?

If you have a passion for Communications, my advice to you is to pursue it wholeheartedly. Believe in yourself and your abilities, never doubting your potential for success. Cultivate and nurture your creativity, as it will be your greatest asset throughout your career. Engage in activities that fuel your creativity, such as writing, brainstorming, and exploring different art forms. Stay curious and open-minded to continuously develop your skills.
